How much abandoned carts can bring back

An estimate of the revenue that cart recovery brings back, at your order volume, your abandonment rate and your recovery rate.

Your numbers

What comes out

Carts abandoned
700
Orders recovered
105
Revenue recovered per month
8,400
Per year
100,800

Amounts are in whatever unit you entered them.

How it is calculated

orders × abandonment rate ÷ 100 × recovery rate ÷ 100 × average order

What the calculation excludes

  • The abandonment rate is taken against completed orders, not against visits.
  • The average value of a recovered order is assumed equal to a normal one. If recovery relies on a discount, it will be lower.
  • The recovery rate is your hypothesis. A realistic range depends on the reminder channel and on how many times you are willing to remind.
  • The calculation does not subtract the cost of the reminders, or of the discount if one is used.

How the calculation is put together

  • Completed orders per month
  • Cart abandonment rate
  • Recovery rate
  • Average order value
  • Carts abandoned
  • Orders recovered
  • Revenue recovered per month
  • Per year
